About The Neighbors Trust
The Neighbors Trust is a research-supported, leading-edge grassroots philanthropic program that provides direct but temporary financial support to some of our most vulnerable neighbors during high stress moments.

We do this by working in close partnership with outstanding community organizations and by tapping into the generosity of neighbors.
​Our first program, Healthy Mama, Healthy Baby, serves the prenatal population of Puentes de Salud, supporting pregnant women in their last trimester and through the baby's first year.
​

Partnerships are an essential part of this work and we are proud of ours. We are working with Puentes de Salud health clinic on the Healthy Mama, Healthy Baby program. The fund is held at the Philadelphia Foundation, and we are closely advised by the Penn Center for Guaranteed Income Research. Akimbo is our financial disbursement partner.

How is this funded?
Here's where The Neighbors Trust really innovates. We are 100% funded with tax-deductible private donations, all of which go directly to program participants. We exist because neighbors generously donate to help other neighbors. The more funds we can raise, the more people we can support. It's that simple.

Guaranteed Income is a well-researched means of getting funds directly to people who most need it. It aims to bring some financial consistency and dignity to households under stress. It usually also improves nutrition, housing security, and emotional well-being. Most GI programs last 1-2 years.

The most important way you can help is to grow The Neighbors Trust by making a tax-deductible gift to the program through the Philadelphia Foundation. Each program participant receives $8,000 though we love gifts that are smaller as well as those that are larger. 100% of donor funds go directly to recipients.
